ABOUT US

OUR STORY

Our story began in the early 2000s when we became custodians of a beautiful Grade II listed Inn situated on the banks of The River Severn. We undertook a complete renovation of the Inn, which boasted stunning features such as an inglenook fireplace, sash windows, and Georgian architecture. Every detail of the renovation was carried out with careful consideration of the inn's past and with sympathy for its historic significance. This is how our love affair with all things historical and heritage began

Fast forward to 2008, the year of the financial crash. We were fortunate enough to purchase our period property, a 1930s semi with many original features of its own, including some original floor tiles that we salvaged and worked into our existing fireplace. With interest rates sky-high and two tiny children in tow, there was very little money available for furnishing our new home. So we trawled the local charity shops for vintage pieces of furniture that we could upcycle and use to make our house our home. Many family and friends commented on how lovely we had managed to make our home. We have refurbished and upcycled most of the furniture in our home. Our most recent restoration project has been our bedroom, where we have mixed our vintage bedroom suite with more contemporary thrift furniture and hand-crafted soft furnishings to create a regency core design that is light, airy, and sumptuous.

As we began to offer refurbished furniture and our soft furnishings for sale online, our upcycling hobby has evolved into a thriving business. We now create a wide range of refinished furniture, handcrafted soft furnishings, and our beautiful, timeless Victorian and deco-inspired lampshades.
